TEOS 200 Series RS232 Remote Controlled
Orbital Shakers (Mixers)

The
TEOS 200 series are RS232 interfaced remote controllable shakers (mixers)
capable of both manual and/or remote control. The small footprint of these units
enables simple integration with many automated platforms. Mounting of the
unit can be customized to match integration specifications (customized
mixing).
The variable amplitude and speed TEOS orbital shakers/mixers are based on a
novel design principle (US
Patent 5,988,869). A plate holding platform floating on air bearings and air
driven high speed
turbines with calibrated eccentric weights combine to provide unique
capabilities in vortex generation, repeatable "Zero X-Y" return position and
high general reliability. The latter is essential for robotic interface and
integration with other automated platforms.
The
TEOS 200 series mixers have a set of air powered turbines (60 - 80 PSI, 1 SCFM)
and a separate controller powered by a standard 110 VAC to 220 VAC power
supply.

TEOS 200 series mixers are
supplied with simple to use control software. Optimal speed
and amplitude (e.g. stable vortex generation) can be selected and "locked" by the
controller for the duration of the run. |

Three models are available in the TEOS 200 series. (See description below). The TEOS
200 and 220 are single speed mixers suitable for specific plate formats. The
TEOS 250 is a combined dual-speed mixer for all plate formats and represents the
best value. All models are provided with the TEOS software CD-ROM w/manual,
ActiveX Control and ASCII commands with sample Visual Basic 6 PC interface for
communication directly with embedded microprocessor. The Source Code is also
included for custom program development. Also packaged with each model are: TEOS
Control Box w/controller and power supply, control cable, RS232 serial
cable, air supply tubing (6’, ¼” ID / female quick connect), operating
instructions and replacement vacuum filters. |
